About Me and My Blog

  • My name is Mary Kris.
  • I’m a single Roman Catholic girl in 20’s.  Though I’m still discerning my vocation, I believe that I’m being called to be a wife and mother someday.  But if God wills it that I serve Him in a different way like as a religious or being in single blessedness, I’m okay with that.
  • I graduated cum laude from University of Santo Tomas (Pontifical, Royal, Catholic University of the Philippines) with AB Legal Management in 2009.
  • I’ve been Catholic my whole life, but there had been darkness and confusions along the way.  A lot of them had to do with being a victim of the occult.  God, however, manifested to me in a unique and radical manner to bring me right back to the path of holiness.  This then would lead me to my conversion.
  • I’m pursuing Graduate studies in a Science field.  Most likely I was a misplaced student years ago, for it has turned out that science is my forte.  Right now, I’m honing my skills in Programming.
  • Learning is my passion.  I’m a deep thinker and analyzer.  I have a very inquisitive mind, that I gather as much information as I can, especially through reading.  That’s why I always learn intensely and get myself updated not only with my favorite subjects like theology, philosophy (logic and metaphysics) and other humanity areas, but also in anything with mysteries, physics, and everything about the universe and cosmology.  I also like articulating my opinions and thoughts in writing.  I read best-selling novels, and constantly research on the topics I’m passionate about.  I find singing, dancing, playing the piano and organ comforting.  I enjoy video games at times.  Another passion I have is watching films, and I can be called a ‘movie buff’.
  • I love the Psalms so much, which became my love for the Liturgy of the Hours, and this love I have only grows that I hope to be able to forever be a defender of our Catholic faith.  I am just a Pilgrim on the earth, and so are you.  We shall pass this world only once.  This is not our home.  We are meant to be in Heaven.  But we still have work to do to be able to get there.  Only that we have to choose the road less traveled by.  And I will.  Catholicism is there as our guide.  Every walk we take is only a preparation for a greater scheme of things.  I’m a daughter of God, and that makes everything right.
